Super Eagles fail to secure win against Wild Dogs

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have failed to secure a much-needed win against the Wild Dogs of Guinea Bissau in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

The Wild Dogs triumphed over Eagles in a 1-0 thriller on Friday.

The win against Nigeria means that the Eagles have lost their spot at the top of Group A to Guinea Bissau.

Before the game, Nigeria was topping the group with six points while Guinea Bissau had four points

Guinea Bissau’s Mama Balde scored the only goal of the match, which set his team apart in the 29th minute of game time, taking them to seven points to top the group, brightening their chances of playing in Ivory Coast next year.

They got a 5-1 victory against Sao Tome and Principe, played a 2-2 draw with Sierra Leone

On the other hand, The Eagles defeated Sierra Leone 2-1 in their first match and thrashed Sao Tome and Principe 10-0.
